What happens to my resume after I upload it?
Your resume is parsed, analyzed, and then stored so that your analysis history and account features work. It is held in Google Cloud Firestore and retained until you delete the data or your account, subject to limited legal, security, and backup retention. Resume data is never sold.
What is stored
Resume and analysis data is retained to provide analysis history and related account features. It is not discarded at the end of a session, because your history would not work if it were.
We want to be precise about this rather than reassuring: this is storage, not ephemeral processing. The privacy policy is the authoritative version and this article follows it.
How long it is kept
- Resume and analysis data: Until you delete the data or your account, subject to limited legal, security, and backup retention.
- Account data: While your account is active, and afterward only as reasonably necessary for security, legal, and operational purposes.
- Payment records: As required by law, typically seven years for tax and accounting purposes.
- Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.
How to have it deleted
You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Verified deletion requests are processed within the time required by applicable law, subject to the same legal, security, and backup retention above.
Who else sees it
Resume data is shared with the service providers that make the product run, as described in the privacy policy. It is never sold.
