Bootcamp projects, freelance work, volunteer contributions, and side projects are not filler—they are proof. A marketing professional pivoting to UX design who has completed a 6-week redesign project for a nonprofit, produced a 42-screen Figma prototype, and conducted user interviews with 15 participants has UX experience. Frame every piece of non-traditional experience with the same formula you would use for a paid role: action, technology, scale, result.
